What's happening, Blennnies?!
We have some good news for you - just a few weeks until midwinter, and then the days start getting longer again! Also, Everything Sea-soning is finally back in stock, and we've made some major upgrades.

By popular demand, we have reformulated this bestseller with all Australian ingredients, less salt, and more seaweed (!). The same umami-packed crunchy sprinkle, now 150% more seasoning per pack – in a new biodegradable ziploc pouch.
The funny thing about converting over to only Australian grown ingredients, is we can no longer include dried onion flakes (true story – we even checked in with a friend who works at a large ingredient company who confirmed that all the dried onion & onion powder available in Australia comes from overseas), or sesame seeds. However, with organic garlic powder, more kelp flakes, crunchy little black poppy seeds, Fleur de Sel salt and wholesome hemp, we actually think the new recipe is tastier than ever!
Try our souped-up Everything Sea-soning now – perfect for all those chewy bagels, eggs on toast, warming winter soups and rice bowls.
We're also thrilled to announce that we've officially joined the board of Young Farmers Connect – a national NFP committed to cultivating networks, resources and community for young farmers. We're really looking forward to making our contribition to this organisation and advocating for regenerative aquaculture and First Nations involvement.
Lastly – and this is a biggie – we have been successful in the World Wildlife Fund Innovate to Regenerate Challenge, a program that identifies and supports community-led ventures, driving the shift from an extractive to a regenerative economy. You can take a look at our project page here for more detail on the project we're working on - this investment from WWF will fund the infrastructure for our own pilot on-land seaweed aquaculture facility – a huge step forward for Moonrise Seaweed Co. The other projects being supported by this program are also worth a look – hopefully a snapshot of what the economy of the future looks like.
We'll check back in next month with some discussion around our organisational structure, finances, etc. A lot to unpack as we're seeing some momentum with support from organisations like WWF, Sustainable Table, and of course you (our community) – and we're grappling with how to sustain ourselves with a right livelihood, continue making our greatest contribution to regenerative seaweed in Australia, and maximise our transparency, accountability and benefit sharing.
Until then, keep frothing!
Chloe & Brad
